Alain Meller je zamjenik izvršnog direktora Poslovnog razvoja i operacija u tvrtki Setics. Alain ima inženjersku i poslovnu diplomu i radi na tržištu svjetlovoda više od 10 godina. Konkretno, upravlja ponudom softvera tvrtke Setics. Više od 20 godina Setics se fokusirao na digitalnu infrastrukturu, pružajući usluge savjetovanja i upravljanja projektima te prodajući vlastiti softver za automatizaciju projektiranja – Setics Sttar – brojnim dionicima. Od svog nastanka 2013., Setics Sttar je prodan i koristi se u 15 zemalja za planiranje i projektiranje FTTH mreža

Alain Meller is the Deputy CEO of Business Development & Operations at company Setics. Alain holds both engineer and business degrees and has been working in the optical fibre market for over 10 years. In particular, he directs the software offering of the company. For over 20 years, Setics has been focusing on digital infrastructure, delivering consulting services, project management services and selling its own design automation software – Setics Sttar - to multiple stakeholders. Since its creation in 2013, Setics Sttar has been sold and used in 15 countries for planning and designing FTTH networks.

Abstract: This lecture will briefly focus on the use cases of Automated Planning and Design of FTTH networks through the presentation of why and when to use automation, what are the best practices and also the presentation of some use cases. One example will be based on current use on the Croatian market by company Konektor.
