Zvonimir Šipuš je rođen 12. ožujka 1964. godine u Zagrebu. Diplomirao je i magistrirao na Elektrotehničkom fakultetu u Zagrebu 1988. godine,  odnosno 1991. godine, a doktorirao je 1997. godine na Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Švedska.

Zvonimir Sipus was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1964. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 1988 and 1991, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1997.

Primjene u nastajanju koje omogućava sustav 5G

Sljedeća generacija sustava komunikacije putom 5G osigurat će nam mogućnost povezivanja s bilo čime u bilo kojem vremenu – od osoba i zajednica do fizičkih stvari, procesa, sadržaja, radnog znanja itd. Na primjer, senzori i senzorske mreže imaju važan utjecaj u suočavanju s izazovima zaštite okoliša. Pametni mikrosenzori za jednokratnu uporabu mogu se postaviti na tlo, u zraku, pod vodom, na ljudsko tijelo i unutar njega, na robote i u građevinama. Važan izazov kod upravljanja pokazateljima kvalitete s kraja na kraj je u tome kako prikupiti metriku različitih komunalnih usluga za propagirajuće instalacije u vrlo dinamičnom okružju. Prezentacijom će se opisati nekoliko projekata povezanih s razvojem pametnih senzora uz podršku komunikacijskih sustava 5G koji bi mogli značajno unaprijediti kvalitetu života i koji bi mogli učiniti da ruralne i urbane sredine u Republici Hrvatskoj postanu atraktivna mjesta za život i rad mladim ljudima.

Emerging applications enabled by 5G

Next generation 5G communication systems will provide us with the possibility to be connected to anything at anytime – from people and communities to physical things, processes, content, working knowledge, etc. For example, sensors and sensor networks have an important impact in meeting environmental challenges. Smart disposable microsensors can be deployed on the ground, in the air, under water, on and inside a human body, on robots, in vehicles, and inside buildings. The major challenge for managing quality indicators end-to-end is how to aggregate different utility metrics for pervasive services, while taking into account a highly dynamic environment. The presentation will illustrate several projects related to the development of smart sensors supported by 5G communication systems that could significantly improve the quality of life and which could set both the rural and urban areas of the Republic of Croatia as attractive places for life and work for young people.

Vladimir Skender, dipl.ing. elektrotehnike, diplomirao je na Fakultetu elektrotehnike i računarstva, Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Njegovo radno 

iskustvo u području telekomunikacija obuhvaća rad u različitim odjelima Hrvatskog Telekoma te njegovo internacionalno iskustvo spajanja mobilnog i fiksnog operatera na Bliskom Istoku. Trenutno je direktor razvoja, planiranja i izgradnje mreže u Vipnetu koja obuhvaća: fiksnu i mobilnu mrežu, transportnu mrežu, konvergentnu servisnu core mrežu te razvoj u domeni IPTV/OTT servisa. Odgovoran za kapacitivno planiranje, projektiranje, izgradnju i implementaciju konvergentne servisne strategije.

Predavanje: Vipnet – predvodnik implementacije 5G mreže u RH

Sažetak:

Predavanje će dati pregled potreba za 5G mrežom u Republici Hrvatskoj, objasniti zašto su optička mreža i budući frekvencijski pojasevi preduvjet razvoju 5G te pokazati rezultate pilota 5G mreže u Jastrebarskom. 

 

Vladimir Skender, has graduated electrical engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb. His work practice includes his work at a number of departments of the Croatian Telecom and his international Middle East experience of connecting mobile and fixed operator. Presently, he is the director of the Network Development, Planning and Implementation Department at Vipnet, covering: fixed and mobile network, transport network, convergent service core network, and the development within the IPTV/OTT service. He is responsible for the capacity planning, design, development and implementation of the Convergent Service Strategy.

Lecture: Vipnet – the Leader of the 5G Implementation in the Republic of Croatia

Abstract:

The lecture will present the review of the need for 5G network in the Republic of Croatia, articulate the reasons why the FO network and future frequency bands are a precondition in 5G development, and show the results of the 5G network pilot at Jastrebarsko.
